Sasha J. Lambert Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist
I believe the relationship between client and counselor is one of the most important factors in creating change in someone’s life. As such, I take my job quite seriously. I use evidence-based practices to assist clients in identifying and decreasing distressing symptoms. Through supportive but direct interaction, we can work together to improve interpersonal relationships, functional impairments, and mood. I work with clients in individual, family, and group settings. I also provide assessments for forensic, educational, employment, and behavioral issues for children, teens, and adults. My work has consistently focused on issues affecting correctional populations, persons with behavioral issues, and persons with histories of physical, sexual, and emotional trauma.
I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Mississippi and a Master’s of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kentucky. Following successful completion of a one-year internship at The University of Massachusetts Medical Center/Worcester State Hospital, I received my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. I am licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of Louisiana.
